1st Project Conference, 13-14 July 2007

The first conference of the British Printed Images to 1700 Project will take place, also at Birkbeck, on Friday, 13, and Saturday, 14 July 2007. This will mainly be devoted to innovative research on the visual culture of early modern Britain with particular reference to printed images, including book illustrations, though it will also include an update on the progress of the project and the preparation of the database and search mechanism. The programme for the conference is currently being planned. Offers of papers or posters on any aspect of the production and consumption of prints or book illustrations in early modern Britain are welcome. They should be made to m.hunter@bbk.ac.uk.
