Alexander the Great in Medieval and Early Modern Culture

8–10 March 2007

A conference organized by the Centre for Medieval Studies, together with the Centre for Reformation and Renaissance Studies, at the University of Toronto. The life of Alexander the Great is one of the most frequently treated subjects of the Middle Ages. It figures prominently in Latin epic and the vernacular literatures as well as in historiography and the fine arts.
